On the day then-candidate Donald Trump was shot, I looked at the pictures from photographers on the scene, and I just kept repeating, "What a shot." 

In so many ways, The Shot shaped the 2024 election and began the path to President Trump's return to office. When President Trump climbed to his feet and put his fist in the air in defiance of what had just happened, I experienced a swell of good old American pride like I hadn't felt in years. In honor of that, I tried to capture the moment in resin as it felt to me that day — an artistic rendition of an historical event. 

No. 1/47 in this series was delivered to its new owner, Kid Rock, at Mar-a-Lago on December 10, 2024. The 47th is slated to be given to President Trump along with a compilation of information on the purchaser of each piece, numbers 1-46.
